Microneedling at New Body Barn, Devizes
What is microneedling?
Microneedling, otherwise known as Collagen Induction Therapy or Skin Needling, is a cosmetic procedure that involves using an automated device with small, fine needles to create tiny punctures in the skin's surface. These micro-injuries stimulate the body's natural healing process, promoting collagen and elastin production.
What are the benefits of microneedling?
Microneedling can help a range of concerns and help improve:
- Uneven skin tone
- Acne scars
- Hyperpigmentation
- Wrinkles & fine lines
- Stretch marks
- Hair loss
- Skin rejuvenation
- Hypertrophic/ atropic scars
What is a typical treatment?
Treatments start off with a consultation to discuss any skin concerns you have and what area/areas you were looking to have treated. Microneedling can be done on most parts of the body, but the most popular area tends to be the face. You can then relax on the treatment bed where you will have your skin cleansed and prepared for microneedling.
Treatments last approx. 30 – 45 minutes (including the consultation and aftercare). Microneedling treatments use different depths of needles depending on the what or where on the body is being treated. Many patients report feeling vibrations and a warmth to the surface of their skin during treatment.
How many treatments will I need?
We recommend a minimum of 3 -6 treatments spaced out every 4 weeks to truly maximise your results.
There is limited down time following treatment. You may have slight redness to your face for a few days.
Your skin might be sensitive and must be protected with SPF 30 minimum to allow the skin to heal.
