What is Microsuction Earwax Removal?
Microsuction earwax removal is a safe and effective way of removing earwax build up from ear canals. It uses a small suction probe that gently removes earwax, which is known to be safer and more effective than traditional methods such as ear syringing. Our experienced clinicians can quickly and painlessly remove earwax from your ear canals, restoring your hearing and relieving any discomfort you may be feeling. With this service no longer being available on the NHS, we can provide microsuction earwax removal treatment for you.

What is a typical treatment?
We advise all patients to use olive oil ear drops such as ‘Earol’ 2-3 days prior to their appointments. This helps soften the earwax and makes it easier to remove. We allow 30 minutes for microsuction appointments, but it is often finished sooner. You can book an appointment online, by phone or by email.

• Ringing or buzzing in your ears (tinnitus)
• Vertigo

Ear Swab Service: (to diagnose type of ear infection)
We also offer an ear swab service which is particularly helpful to those with recurrent ear infections, not responding to antibiotics. We are able to swab your ear and send the sample off to our partner laboratory to decide whether the infection is bacterial or fungal. This allows for you to get the correct antibiotics for your ear infection.
